Wrong again.

All the candidates mayor Daley supported over the past 4-8 years lost. Mayor Daley, in part, is the reason Chicago lost the Olympic bid. The Daley name breeds corruption.

Alderman Preckwinkle has her own problems, with Rezko, and may be indicted. Rezko was her top fundraier. Most of the crimes Rezko admitted to were in her ward, which she knew, or should have known about. Think of the hundreds of thousands of dollars Prekwinkle has raised. She owes a lot of favors to special interest groups and organizations.

Preckwinkle is not known out side of her ward. And, a name like Preckwinkle can not energize the African-American base, a must in Cook County politics. I am an African-American, and I for sure would not vote for an unknown like Preckwinkle. She has never managed anything. Her resume is bland.

Bottom line - Preckwinkle can't win and will not win. She is hoping to pull off an Obama type victory. The difference between an Obama name and a Preckwinkle name to blacks is very obvious that Preckwinkle is married to a white man, where Obama married black. The Preckwinkle name is a sure turn off to Blacks.

Dorothy Brown, although she has her issues, has a track record of managing thousands of employees. She has done a wonderful job as clerk of the circuit court. The clerks office was a mess when she took it over. She has the education (Masters in Business Finance) that voters weigh highly on. She is also well liked among whites county-wide. She is an attorney. Dorothy Brown also has the team in Cook County to defeat Preckwinkle. Remember, Dorothy Brown has received millions of votes each time running for County office. These voters are the same voters who will be casting votes in this coming primary.

W, what's your position within the Brown administration again?

Your rhetoric is laughable. As numerous media outlets have reported, Dorothy Brown is the epitome of do-nothing Machine politics. A sordid and well-documented history of accepting cash gifts from employees and countless campaign shenanigans will doom her new quest to augment the bank account of herself and her friends & family.

It's wonderful that she's both a lawyer and a CPA, but ultimately meaningless. And your claim that she is "well-liked" by whites countywide seems absurd on its face, unless you're accounting solely for beholden employees in her office.

Undoubtedly, there are many more skeletons in Ms. Brown's closet that will likely be unearthed as she has sought a bigger stage. Your sole source of hope appears to be steeped in her skin color. It's shallow, insulting, and detrimental to good governance. If that's what Ms. Brown represents, it will only serve to reinforce what most already know - that putting the power and responsibility of Cook County Board President in her hands is a huge mistake.

Dan, sorry if I offended you. My point is that Dorothy Brown represents all people, Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, Asians, Indians, whomever. This is what the people want.

Remember, Dorothy Brown had more votes in her last primary than Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. In order for her to get millions of votes she must have a very large base of support for all races.

If we rate all the candidates running based on their qualifications Dorothy Brown wins hands down.

I don't know what shenanigans in Dorothy Brown campaign fund you are referring to. But I do know that Clerk Brown Circuit Court Clerk office has always operated in the black. The Chicago, Cook County, The State of Illinois, and the Federal all are operating in the red. Show me any elected official that has not been accused of wrong doing. Why is Clerk Brown by some individuals talk about her campaign or Clerk Office? It is time out for speaking on a few, and not every body. Those with fault cast the first stone.
