Salonathon presents You're Gonna Die: A Holiday Fantasia tonight at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., featuring performances by Big Dipper, Baathhaus, Grades, Shea Coulee, burlesque troupe the Fly Honeys, Jyldo, Dean Evans as Honeybuns, Lady/Watch, and DJs LA*Jesus and Swaguerrilla. Salonathon's Jane Beachy hosts. Doors open at 8pm, show's at 9. Tickets are $6 in advance, $10 at the door. 18+
Thrill Jockey celebrates its 20th Anniversary at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western, with flagship bands Tortoise and The Sea and Cake performing "weird sets for the hometown weirdos" with Man Forever opening. Label staffers and musicians will be spinning records throughout the night, with complimentary beverages from Goose Island and Virtue Cider from 8pm to 9pm.
