What is your favorite book that you received as a gift?
The Amityville Horror, which I received as a teenager.
"the monster at the end of this book."
It was my sisters and my favorite book as children, but we moved a lot and it got lost in the shuffle. For one Christmas a couple years back, my sis gave it to me again--I was so happy to have it back. Such an awesome character Grover was!

I can think of many books I received as gifts that I still have and still treasure, but one of the earliest was my copy of Charlotte's Web, which I received as a birthday gift when I was in second grade. It's a little beat-up now, but I still have it, and it's still one of my favorite books.
