• Sam's Wine & Spirits has launched Toast, a new PDF magazine about, you guessed it, wine, beer, spirits and a little cheese.

MenuPages Blog takes a look at the top 100 hottest menus of 2007.

Chicago Bites lists its top picks for 2007. (The podcast also hit Alinea recently.)

• Bitespot is on a Southern kick, serving up recipes for red velvet cake, collard greens and hoppin' john. Foodmomiac's got the black-eyed peas and ham hocks.

I was born in Chicago and live in the burbs now, and I so much enjoy blogging about being Italian American, in this city filled with so much history of food! Not to mention all of my familiy food trditions. I really appreciate that you noticed.
