The Friday board agenda on CTA's website says Dorval Carter, currently a CTA Executive Vice President with many years of experience in the transit industry, will be appointed Acting President.

So, sitting behind the desk, but no ACTUAL authority to make big decisions.

Kinda like sending the second-string QB in to take the snaps at the end of a losing game.

Wouldn't a NATIONAL search to find a QUALIFIED School Superintendent (Put Huberman's name in the hat, if you like) have made more sense, if in fact education is so important?
