The Interview Show @ Hideout

The Strangerer @ Chopin Theatre

Theater Oobleck presents a remount of The Strangerer, a version of Albert Camus' story with George W. Bush, John Kerry and Jim Lehrer as the main characters. The play, inspired by Bush's reading of The Stranger in 2006, returns to Chopin Theatre (1543 W. Division) tonight and runs through May 11. Showtims are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $10 (more if you've got it, free if you're broke), and reservations can be made through the Theater Oobleck site.

Chicago Gay Men's Chorus @ Athenaeum

The Chicago Gay Men's Chorus presents their spring 2008 revue at the Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N. Southport). This year's show is titled Apple Pie, billed as "a gay romp through Americana". The show will be performed tonight at 8:00 PM, and tomorrow at 3:00 and 8:00 PM. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at the Athenaeum box office: (773) 935-6860.

Blind Wine Tasting Tournament Semi-Finals @ In Fine Spirits

The second annual “Sweet 16” blind wine tasting tournament at In Fine Spirits has been going on since the start of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, but it comes to a close this weekend as the final winning wines go head to head in blind tastings. Come in and and vote for your favorite wine in each pair, and the store will record which wines get the most votes. The winning wine will be chosen Saturday. The tasting runs from 4 to 7 pm Friday and 2 to 5 pm Saturday at In Fine Spirits, 5418 N. Clark.

61st St. Farmers Market Fundraiser @ Experimental Station

The Woodlawn neighborhood has been identified as one of Chicago's "food deserts." The 61st Street Farmers Market project aims to help correct that by bringing in sustainably grown fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and dairy products. Help fund this effort by joining a fundraising event. Music by the Josh Abrams Quartet, hors d’œuvres and beverages, wine tastings by Damien Casten of sustainably produced Candid Wines, bread baking and other food demonstrations, raffles of regionally and sustainably grown foods and products. Friday, April 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Experimental Station, 6100 S. Blackstone Avenue.
