Tame Impala Get Set for Chicago Show and New Album
Aussie psych-rockers Tame Impala recently announced they've been cooking something that's even better than a multi-topping pizza.
Not only are they embarking on a world tour, which will stop in Chicago this Friday, 5/15 at the Riviera, but the four-piece Interscope outfit confirmed a new release Currents will be the next addition to their consistently dazzling collection of LPs on July 17.
Lead singer Kevin Parker told Australian radio station triple J that their sound on their upcoming album will be stripped down to only the key ingredients: "Instead of a supreme pizza, where you just throw everything on, it's kind of just gonna be like a margherita."
So far, the band has revealed three shiny new tracks since their spectacular 2012 release Lonerism, each glistening with modernized paisley-pop glory:
"Let it Happen"
"Cause I'm a Man"
"Disciples"
Tame Impala will play a sold out show with Mini Mansions at The Riviera this Friday, May 15 at 8pm.
