Katherine Shonk

Chicago writer Katherine Shonk will be appearing at the Women and Children First independent bookstore tonight at 7:30, promoting her debut collection of stories The Red Passport. Beer Academy

Goose Island brewery on Clybourn turns into Beer Academy on November 19th at 6:30 pm. Learn from the Brewmaster, brush up on the ins and outs of brewing, and taste a dozen different beers while you're at it. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
