57th Latke-Hamentash Debate
University of Chicago Staff debate the perennial question of the superiority of the Latke and the Hamentashen. This year's moderator is Ted Cohen, Professor of Philosophy. Participants include Donald Levine, Professor of Sociology ; Albert Madansky, Professor Emeritus, Graduate School of Business; Anne Walters Robertson, Deputy Provost and Professor of Music; and Dr. Mindy Schwartz, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine.
Spectators are encouraged to show support for their preferred victual by coming to Mandel Hall dressed in a latke- or hamentash-related costume. The debate is followed by a reception at which latkes and hamentashen will be served.
11/25/2003, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM. Location: Mandel Hall, 5706 S. University Avenue. The fee for the post-debate feast is $3 in advance or $4 at the door.
