Marc Shaiman tribute @ Gentry

What do the South Park movie and the current stage production of Hairspray have in common? Tony-award-winning composer Marc Shaiman, who's written songs for a number of movies and musicals. Tonight he'll be honored by the current Chicago cast of Hairspray as they present "Marc Shaiman ... This Is Your Life!" Bruce Vilanch, currently in the Hairspray cast, will emcee. Weisman Scholars Exhibit @ Columbia College

The work of more than 60 Columbia students goes on display today as part of this year's Weisman Scholars Exhibit, a showcase for recipients of grants from the Albert P. Weisman Memorial Fund.
