Maybe you've heard about the
March for Women's Lives that will be taking place in Washington DC on April 25th. There is a huge Chicago delegation that is going to be descending on the Capital and they're raising money to get as many people there as possible. Your $10 donation ($7 for students with ID) will get you into the Subterranean (2011 W. North--doors open at 8 pm) and let you see the following acts: telenovela, Hedonists Maybe, Anne-Marie Aiken Band, Michelle "Touts" L'amour and her Sugarbabies from the Lavendar Cabaret, , and DJs Michelle Musial and Shaka 23 of Hipstep Sistaz.
There will also be Tarot readings, dancing, info table and cool raffle prizes from Women and Children First, Bust magazine, Early2Bed, SoftSkull Press, Bitch magazine, RR1, Landmark Theater and more!

the Music Box shows the classic Howard Hawks movie this weekend for their matinee. Bogie, Bacall, Martha Vickers, and Dorothy Malone in a classic cameo as the bookseller who falls under Bogie's spell. Screenplay by William Faulkner and Raymond Chandler, a once-in-a-lifetime combination.
