Incredible String Band @ Logan Square Auditorium

The legendary 1960s Scottish band The Incredible String Band plays at the Logan Square Auditorium tonight at 8:00 PM. That may well be enough for many of you to attend, but here's an added attraction: one of the opening acts is harpist Joanna Newsom, who has been hypnotizing audiences for quite some time now with her beguiling voice and effortless harp playing. Train to be a Pollwatcher

The League of Women Voters of Chicago and the snappy website i am the government will be offering free training for people interested in being a pollwatcher on November 2nd. Training takes place tonight (as well as most nights througout October) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the League of Women Voters offices at 332 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1050, Chicago.
