Outdoor Film Festival: Star Wars
The 6th annual Chicago Outdoor Film Festival concludes tonight at sunset with a screening of the first Star Wars movie (no word on whether it's the original version, or the enhanced version recently seen in theaters). The screening will be at Butler Field in Grant Park (Lake Shore Drive & Monroe), and admission is free. Bookslut reading @ Hopleaf
Bookslut, the literary Website, presents the latest in its series of local readings. The featured authors in tonight's reading: Maureen McHugh, author of such books as Mothers and Other Monsters and China Mountain Zhang; Jennifer Stevenson, author of Trash Sex Magic; and Charles Blackstone, author of The Week You Weren't Here.
