Local band Lucky Boys Confusion present their fifth concert series "Songs from a Scene," featuring Madina Lake, Treaty of Paris and Witroy. This year the bands will also sign guitars for a raffle whose proceeds will benefit Rock for Kids. Doors open at 7pm for the 8pm, 18+ show. Tickets are $17.50 and can be bought by calling 312-559-1212, through Ticketmaster or at the Metro box office. The Metro is located at 3730 N. Clark St.
Some nights you just gotta dance! To find the "best of the big band" sound, head out to the Green Mill for the Alan Gresik Swing Shift Orchestra, a 16-piece band that really lets it cook. Music gets jumping from 9pm-1am and it's only a $6 cover. The Green Mill is hard to miss at Broadway and Lawrence.
The Music Box Theatre presents a series of Marx Brothers double feature programs through December 31. The final double feature, Duck Soup and Horse Feathers, will be playing today as usual, and will also be the midnight and matinee selections on December 30 and 31.
