Hot & Bothered: An Evening in Bed

Jonathan Ames, Lynn Harris and Neal Pollack come together at the Abbey Pub for Hot & Bothered: An Evening in Bed. The reading is presented by Nextbook and focuses on "erotic escapades," which, if you've read these authors, you know will be worthy of hearing. Art of Chocolate

Youth Outreach Services is holding their third annual Art of Chocolate at BIN 36, featuring creations from ten local pastry chefs. Wines complimentary to chocolate will be available for tasting and the event includes a raffle and silent auction. Tickets are $36 and can be bought by calling 312-755-9463; proceeds benefit the Youth Outreach Services. 6-9pm at 339 N. Dearborn.

Koren Zailckas @ Harold Washington Library

Author of the bestselling memoir Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood, Koren Zailckas speaks tonight at the Harold Washington Library at 6pm. Zailckas's book speaks of her life as an abused and alcoholic woman, interjecting statistics with her reality. Call 312-747-4050 for more information.

Arte y Pureza @ Old Town School

As part of a series of concerts, workshops, and other events making up the Chicago Flamenco Festival, the gypsy flamenco ensemble Arte y Pureza performs in the Old Town School of Folk Music’s La Pena series tonight at 8:30, joined by members of Mardrid-based Noche Flamenca.
