826CHI Wine and Dumplings Fundraiser

At 6:30 tonight, 826CHI is hosting a wine and dumplings fundraiser at their 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave location. Chicago Tribune wine writer Bill Daley and food writer Monica Eng, as well as wine consultant Magan Eng, will be there to discuss their favorite wine and dumplings, as well as offer personal recommendations. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the 826CHI website.

Ow-Box Winter Benefit Auction

For 96 years Ox-Bow at 847 W. Jackson has hosted a fleet of burgeoning artists. Tonight's Winter Benefit Auction not only helps raise funds for the artists' residency, it also provides art lovers with the chance to purchase works by Ed Paschke, Ellen Lanyon and Karl Wirsum in a silent auction featuring over 100 pieces of art. Robert Amft is this year's guest of honor, having contributed to the art world for over 70 years. Tickets are $75 in advance, $95 at the door. 5:30-9:30pm.
