Aron Packer presents 101 Talismans for a Happy Death, an exhibition of photography and video by Joe Conlon, with Justin Henry Miller Radioactive. Conlon, who was HIV positive for over 20 years, created the work in the last five years of his life before passing away in 2005. Miller's paintings function as a synthesis of his varied influences: science fiction, anatomical illustrations, cartoon animation, experimental science, and nature. Featuring the work of artists with backgrounds in grafitti, 9Lives opens today at PartsUnknown Gallery. Anthony Lewellen, Michael Genovese and Thor Alward are just a few of the nine artists who take part in the show.
