Eclipse Theatre Company continues their season of plays by Rebecca Gilman with Spinning into Butter, a comedy/drama which shows how close racism lies beneath the surface of an otherwise idyllic small New England college campus. The play opens this evening at 8pm at Victory Gardens Theater (2257 N. Lincoln). Tickets are $15-25, with student, group, and industry discounts available. Redmoon Theater presents The Balloon Man, a show for kids and adults alike. "A roving team of scientists recruit a hapless children's entertainer and an intrepid youngster named Beatrice to search for that rarest of species — the wild Picnob!" The show includes 5 songs by local band The Bitter Tears, puppets, and a bit of science involving balloons. The Balloon Man happens at the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park this eveni at 6:30 PM.
