Jason Reblando Photography @ the Union League Club

Jason Reblando's photography will be on display for the month of September at the Union League Club of Chicago (65 W. Jackson). Recent work has featured youth boxing on the South Side and the people required to make public housing available. A reception occurs tonight from 5:30-7pm in the Third Floor Gallery. (Keep in mind they're strict about dress codes, though: business casual is the order of the day.)

Around the Coyote Opening Night Party

Come celebrate the opening of another year of all sorts of art in Wicker Park at Around the Coyote Gallery. Your $20 admission fee benefits Around the Coyote's art education program and includes food catered by Las Palmas, a video program by curator Kim Alpert, the debut of the site-specific installation by Artledge/iCabin and music by DJ Sid Delicious. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in a silent art auction. 8pm-midnight at 1935 1/2 W. North Ave. Tickets can be purchase at the door or in advance by calling 773-342-6777.

Lip @ The Spot

The Poetry Center continues its reading series tonight at 8 PM--note the new location. At each reading in the Lip series, hosts Joel Chmara and Mary Fons present a visiting, nationally recognized emerging talent alongside a local poet, as well as an open mic.
