Adventures in Modern Music @ Empty Bottle
The Wire and the Empty Bottle present the fourth annual Adventures in Modern Music, a 5-day concert series taking place at the Empty Bottle. Tonight's concert features Tetine from Brazil, Colleen from France, and Yellow Swans from San Francisco. The show starts at 9:00 PM; tickets are $15, and can be purchased online at the Empty Bottle website. Invasion of the Body Snatchers @ Film Center
The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a series of science fiction movies through December. Tonight's sci fi movie is the original 1956 version of The Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Bound Stems @ Schubas
Come down and celebrate twice in one night with Chicago's Bound Stems as they play tunes from their brand new album, Appreciation Night at Schubas tonight. They'll have an all-ages show at 7pm with Metal Hearts opening, and then will stay the night to play at 10pm in support of Asobi Seksu.
