The Wire and the Empty Bottle present the fourth annual Adventures in Modern Music, a 5-day concert series taking place at the Empty Bottle. Tonight's final concert in the series features legendary hip-hop remixer Steinski, the duo of Hamid Drake & William Parker, Trapist from Austria, and Kayo Dot from Massachusetts. The show starts at 9:00 PM; tickets are $15, and can be purchased online at the Empty Bottle website. The Neo-Futurists present a special fundraiser for their next prime-time show Drag, scheduled to open in November. The fundraiser will be held at the Neo-Futurarium and will start at 9:00, right after their usual Sunday night performance of Too Much Light. The show will include a preview of Drag, performances by local drag artists, a "drag open mic," refreshments by drag artist Bertha Mason, and a surprise musical guest. The Gene Siskel Film Center presents Slomo Video, a program of 100 one-minute slow-motion films. The screening is part of the Adventures in Modern Music festival happening at the Empty Bottle.
