Are you the one always beating your friends at Trivial Pursuit? Do you use words like "draconian" in your everyday speech? Romeo Dallaire @ Harold Washington Library

Lt. Gen. Romeo Dallaire, Force Commander of the UN Assistance Mission to Rwanda during the 1994 genocide (Nick Nolte played him in Hotel Rwanda), speaks tonight at the Harold Washington Library to discuss his book Shake Hands with the Devil. The book follows his experience in Rwanda and the event is part of a national series present by Facing History Ourselves and the Allstate Foundation. John Edwards @ Harold Washington Library

John Edwards - yes, the former senator and Presidential candidate - makes an appearance at the Harold Washington Library tonight to discuss and sign copies of his new book, Home: The Blueprint of Our Lives. Starship Troopers @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center is running a series of science fiction films through the end of the year. This week's film is the Paul Verhoeven film Starship Troopers. The Note is the place tonight to hear two of GB's favorite bands, Canasta and the Bound Stems along with a possible new fave, Rahim. The Note is at 1565 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.
