Maja Ratkje & POING @ University of Chicago

Norwegian composer, vocalist, and experimental musician Maja Ratkje performs with the Oslo-based improv avant folk-jazz trio POING. Ramp Chicago @ Sonotheque

Local promotional entity BassUpTrebleDown is introducing the new monthly event Ramp Chicago, which will be devoted to showcasing electronic music for "rocking both the headphones and the dancefloor." For this occasion, the event is a record release party for Chicago electronica artist Proswell, whose latest CD is about to drop via the Miami-based IDM/glitch-hop label Merck Records. Proswell will be performing a live set. There'll also be DJ sets courtesy of DJs M3RCK, Yard, and Emulsion; as well as some live visuals from Metropop Media. More info here. 1444 W.
