What better way to celebrate a three-day weekend than to get up earlier than you ever thought humanly possible and bike Lake Shore Drive? Bank of America Bike the Drive will be held Sunday, May 27 on Lake Shore Drive between Hollywood to the north and 57th Street to the south. Over four hours, you can bike the car-free street to your heart's content, then head to a post-ride festival in Grant Park to cool your jets and enjoy the festivities.
The eccentric, carnival-esque pop constructions of Canada's Frog Eyes assail the Schubas faithful this evening. With the recently released Tears of Valedictorian, their fourth LP, Frog Eyes relate desperate anthems in a tilt-a-whirl tempest of chirping keyboards, jazzy drums, and emotive lyrics. Brooklynites Yeasayer play second and local favorites Mitten on Strings open. Show is at 9 PM and tickets are $10. Schubas #: 773-525-2508.
