57th St. Art Fair

The 57th St. Art Fair is Chicago's oldest juried art fair, offering art lovers the opportunity to experience glass, jewelry, photography, printmaking, ceramics and more produced by artists from all over the country. There are also hands-on activities and playgrounds to keep the kids happy and food vendors to keep everyone satisfied. Free and open to the public, the fair takes place along 57th St. from Kenwood to Kimbark. Saturday, 11am-6pm; Sunday 10am-5pm. Old World Meets New World Wine Dinner @ Tru

Sommeliers Scott Tyree, Alpana Singh, Robert Bath and guest winemaker Susana Balbo of the Susana Balbo Winery in Argentina will present tastings to accompany a five-course dinner tonight at Tru. Featured wines will hail from everywhere from France to India to Long Island. A 6 pm champagne reception will precede the dinner, which costs $225 per person. Eleni Mandell @ Schubas

LA chanteuse Eleni Mandell brings "a voice that should be heard by millions" to Schubas tonight for an 8 PM, 21 and over show. Supporting her most recent release from the Zedtone label, Miracle of Five, Mandell's music defies categorization, seamlessly bridging country, jazz and pop to create gorgeous grownup lullabies and love songs. Chicago Gospel Festival @ Millennium Park

The free music season at the Pritzker Pavilion kicks off with this festival showcasing local, national, and international gospel artists. The music runs from 11 AM to 9:30 PM today. For more information, visit the website.

Chicago Botanic Garden Wine Festival

Day two of the Chicago Botanic Garden Wine Festival in Glencoe, the event features 250 wines from more than forty exhibitors and includes cooking demos from some of Chicago's top chefs as well as wine seminars from top experts. Affordable, $25 in advance $30 at the door, admission includes a souvenir wine glass, ten tastings, Festival Program, the Food & Wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment, and the opportunity to purchase some of the wines. Designated driver admission is only $20 in advance and $15 day of and includes most of the regular package, excluding the tastings. The Chicago Botanic Garden is located on Lake Cook Road just east of the Edens Expressway. A portion of the proceeds benefits The Chicago Botanic Garden.
