While the music at the past two Pitchfork Fests has left me satisfied, the level of partying leaves plenty of room for improvement. Luckily the party doesn't stop after Yoko One on Saturday. In fact just a short walk away, (Fulton and Damen) Rawk Magazine has set up an afterparty of near epic proportions. The Chicago Park District presents Movies in the Park, a summer-long screening of classic and contemporary films in Chicago parks. Tonight's screenings: Charlotte's Web at Gross Park (2708 W. Lawrence Ave.); Over The Hedge at Maplewood Playlot Park (1640 N. Maplewood Ave.); and El Clown (in the Puerto Rican film series) at Humboldt Park (1400 N. Sacramento Ave.). The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a month-long festival of the films of David Lynch. Today's film is Lynch's recent experiment with digital video, 2006's Inland Empire. Not content with the city's various farmers markets, the Southport Grocery and Cafe (1420 West Grace St.) will host several "Green Market" Saturdays over the summer and into the fall. In addition to showcasing locally grown vegetables, they'll up the ante with everything from flowers to baby food to artisan breads and cheeses on display from local growers and producers. Hours are 8AM - 1PM.

The Veggie Bike and Dine celebrates healthy dining and the diversity of Chicago's neighborhoods while celebrating bicycling's vital relationship to food, socializing, and civic life. Dancing Girl Press presents an evening of poetry with: Simone Muench, poet, editor, assistant professor, and horror film fan. She is the author of *The Air Lost in Breathing* and *Lampblack & Ash* (recently released from Sarabande Books.) Her chapbook, Orange Girl, is due out from dancing girl press in July. Also, Brandi Homan, whose chapbook, Two Kinds of Arson, is available from Dancing Girl Press. Her work has appeared in magazines like Salt Hill, North American Review, Fugue, CutBank, Natural Bridge, and others. And Erin M. Bertram, a fellow in the MFA Writing Program at Washington University in St. Louis. She writes for The Vital Voice and edits shadowbox press, which publishes progressive writing, always by hand, and often by underrepresented writers, with a tendency toward poetry. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Bloom, Columbia Poetry Review, MiPOesias , and Ugly Accent.
