Preview: Mr. Fluxus @ Neo-Futurarium
The Neo-Futurists continue their 2007-08 season with Mr. Fluxus, a combined interactive show and installation by Neo-Futurist founder Greg Allen. Mr. Fluxus is a tribute to the Fluxus network of artists, and will encourage the audience to explore all of the rooms of the Neo-Futurists' theater space. Mr. Fluxus is in previews tonight, and opens Saturday, November 3. Showtimes start at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15, $10 for students/seniors, or pay-what-you-can on Thursday nights and during previews. Umbrella Music Fest Continues Tonight
The fun continues tonight, as the second evening of the Umbrella Music Festival of Jazz and Improvisation takes place at the Velvet Lounge (67 E Cermak, 312.791.9050). Eric Boeren from the Netherlands, along with Mwata Bowden and Kent Kessler play at 9pm, followed by the Mat Maneri/Randy Peterson Duo at 10pm, with Loose Assembly, featuring among others, bassist Josh Abrams and drummer/ Umbrella member Mike Reed.
