Preview: Mr. Fluxus @ Neo-Futurarium

The Neo-Futurists continue their 2007-08 season with Mr. Fluxus, a combined interactive show and installation by Neo-Futurist founder Greg Allen. Mr. Fluxus is a tribute to the Fluxus network of artists, and will encourage the audience to explore all of the rooms of the Neo-Futurists' theater space. Mr. Fluxus is in previews tonight, and opens Saturday, November 3. Showtimes start at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15, $10 for students/seniors, or pay-what-you-can on Thursday nights and during previews. Umbrella Music Fest Continues Tonight

The fun continues tonight, as the second evening of the Umbrella Music Festival of Jazz and Improvisation takes place at the Velvet Lounge (67 E Cermak, 312.791.9050). Eric Boeren from the Netherlands, along with Mwata Bowden and Kent Kessler play at 9pm, followed by the Mat Maneri/Randy Peterson Duo at 10pm, with Loose Assembly, featuring among others, bassist Josh Abrams and drummer/ Umbrella member Mike Reed. Jens Lekman @ Logan Square Auditorium

Sweet Swedish Pop Master Jens Lekman plays at Logan Square Auditorium at 9:30 p.m. ($14) in support of his dazzling new album Night Falls Over Kortedala. His Secretly Canadian labelmate Dave Fischoff and DJ Viktor Soberg will open the show. Click here for tickets.

Pamela Z Presents: The Pendulum and Other Works @ History Museum

Restaurateurs Ball @ Macy's

How many parties take place on the 7th floor of Macy's on State Street? The Restaurateurs Ball, an opportunity sponsored by the Illinois Restaurant Association (IRA) for industry insiders and outsiders will be cavorting and consuming tonight, with the $250 per person ticket proceeds to benefit the IRA Educational Foundation's Scholarship Initiative and ProStart Program.
