Democracy Burlesque: DB Soup

Democracy Burlesque -- "where only the politics are naked" -- is a monthly variety show/revue/cabaret/ happening aimed at liberal and progressive artists, fans, and sympathizers. Tuesday Night Live with Second City @ Chicago History Museum

Site Unseen 2007 @ Cultural Center

Bingo/Tango @ MCA

The MCA adds an interesting twist to the classic game of bingo by integrating both quirky art and tango components. The bingo game configurations are selected by mirroring famous artworks. Host Jason Pickleman calls bingo numbers, and between games, lucky participants get to learn how to tango from professional Argentine Tango dance instructors Somer Surgit and Agape Pappas.
