Allegoric @ Chicago Country Club

Allegoric is a one-night event featuring a distinctive breed of artists, designers, and illustrators. Tonight's 300-plus works on display are by Amy Mayfield, Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Bill McRight, Chris Hiltz, Chris Kerr, Chris Silva, Edith Abeyta, Erika Somogyi, Gala Bent, Hannah Woodroofe, Jesse Goldstein, Joseph Lappie, Karl Koett, Kelly Bowman, Ks Rives, Lee Piechocki, Matthew Feyld, Mel Kadel, Michael Genovese, Michael Pajon, Nelson Kahikina, Nick Butcher, Paul Nudd, Sighn, Travis Millard, and William Buzzel. Juliette And The Licks At Reggie's

Warhol film festival @ Facets

Busdriver, Daedelus, Antimc @ Empty Bottle

Three of Mush Records finest hit the coziest stage in Chicago to celebrate a few new releases. Last time Daedelus came through town, he played his signature style of smooth, dreamy abstract tunes as found on his last LP, Denies The Day's Demise. But 2007 saw the release of Fairweather Friends, a smart, dancy tease of pop on top of his usual acrobatic beats. The Weather partner Busdriver released Roadkill Overcoat in January, and AntiMC has been a tastemaker supreme in his contributions to the Palmsout Sounds blog. Limited tickets for $8, then $10. Columbian Music and Food Festival @ Inter-American Magnet School

San Francisco-based folk band Aluna will perform traditional Columbian music and conduct workshops from 7:00pm to 9:15pm. Food will be sold during intermission. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Inter-American School, a public elementary school on Chicago's north side that provides bilingual multicultural education to students from a mix of ethnic and economic backgrounds.
