Gapers Block/Calumet Photo Swap @ Calumet Photographic

Gapers Block and Calumet Photographic invite photographers of all experience levels to participate in a photo swap. Show up at Calumet with five 4"x6" photographs, hang out with other photographers and then leave with five photos from others. Food and drinks will be provided. If you're concerned about getting your prints done in time, contact Calumet's Michael Martens at michael.martens@calumetphoto.com. He'll print your images and bring them to the Swap for you to pick up. The event is free and will run from 6pm-8pm at Calumet Photographic, 1111 N. Cherry Ave.

Ignite Chicago @ Goose Island Wrigleyville

Ignite Chicago presents its first conference tonight at 6:00 PM at Goose Island Wrigleyville (3535 N. Clark, near Addison). Ignite is simply a series of five-minute talks, each one accompanied by 20 slides that change after 15 seconds. So it's a technical exercise, as well as a public speaking exercise. Electrorama @ Piper's Alley

The Scion Route Independent Film Series screens Daft Punk's Electrorama, which follows the mythic travels of two robots across the American landscape in the pursuit of becoming human.
