Haptic live @ Empty Bottle

Local drone-music trio Haptic engage in a multi-day local tour (see also yesterday's entry for a radio appearance on WLUW) with a live performance at the Empty Bottle (1035 N. Western Avenue). Beer & Bacon Bonanza

Provenance, along with Vella Cafe, will be hosting a four course "Beer and Bacon Bonanza" for the vegan-hating alcoholic in you. The menu includes pork loin roulade stuffed with bacon, apricots, and mushrooms; bacon infused fingerling potatoes; shortbread filled with brown sugar-bacon buttercream, and a chocolate stout ice cream float. $50, includes tax and tip. 6:30pm @ Vella Cafe (1912 N. The Bicycle Men @ Lakeshore Theater

The Bicycle Men, the popular sketch comedy show featuring Dan Castellaneta (aka the voice of Homer Simpson), will be performed tonight at Lakeshore Theater, 8pm. Tickets are $35; click here for information.

Hunchback Talkback @ Redmoon

Redmoon Theater gives a special performance of Hunchback tonight as part of the League of Chicago Theaters' Theater Thursdays. Attendees will be treated to a pre-show reception including a backstage tour of the show, plus a post-show discussion with creator Jim Lasko and others. Tickets are $25, and the show starts at 6:30 at Redmoon Central, 1463 W. Hubbard.

The Chicago History Museum is sponsoring a trolley tour of local bars to find the *real* meaning of Christmas. Meet at 6:45 p.m. at the Museum, located at Clark and North Avenues. Cost is $25, $20 for CHM members.

Langdon Hammer on Hart Crane and Jasper Johns @ AIC

Late-er Night Andersonville

The St. Lucia Festival of Lights procession will highlight the "Late-er Night Andersonville" celebration Thursday, Dec. 13, beginning at 3 p.m. In addition to the carole-filled walk through the Clark Street neighborhood, there will be live music, tours and gift-wrapping demonstrations. There's also schedule and a coupon you can print and clip for store discounts.

Bon Mots, Gnomes, Le Concorde, Stv Slv @ Schubas

To benefit Swedish Covenant Hospital, Swede Home Chicago features the Bon Mots, Gnomes, Le Concorde and Hood Internet's Stv Slv at Schubas. The 800 lb. Gorilla in the Room

Artists and companies from Chicago's dance, performance art, and theatre communities join forces for The 800 lb. Gorilla in the Room: (What we're not talking about), answering the question, "What aren't we talking about? As a nation, as a people, as individuals?" Performers include Mordine & Co.
