The Neo-Futurists' latest show, CONTRAPTION by Bilal Dardai, examines the intersection between innovation and insanity and asks, "If necessity is the mother of invention, is madness the wayward father?" Dardai says, "Contraption is what I imagine it would look like if Groucho, Chico, and Harpo took over Edison's Workshop and used the gadgets within the workshop to drive Zeppo completely out of his mind." If you're tired of the same bland Valentine's standards (chocolate, fluffy gifts, diamonds, pfft) and are experiencing a serious taco craving, Zapatista Cantina may be the right place to celebrate this year. Nothing says love like an unrealistically long car. Or something like that. Chaise Lounge is offering a decadent slew of options in addition to the standard Valentine's Dinner for two, which starts at $150. Another $50 will get you roses to go along with dinner, and if you shell out between $400 and $600 (depending on where you live), you and your date will get limo service to and from the restaurant. FlosstraPROMus @ Abbey Pub
