Paleoanthropologist Donald Johanson @ Field Museum

In 1974, Johanson added a crucial link to the human evolutionary chain with his discovery of a 3.2-million-year-old hominid fossil in Ethiopia. "Lucy," as the skeleton was called, represented a previously unknown human ancestor, occupying a pivotal place on the human family tree between more primitive and more advanced hominids.
