The Chicago Department for Cultural Affairs proudly present the fourth program of avant-garde jazz music in their series of 11 FREE shows taking place between February and May. This performance, at the Claudia Cassidy Theater of the Chicago Cultural Center (77 East Randolph Street), features saxophonist Donny McCaslin, whose solos incorporate Latin American musical themes into a larger "free jazz" blueprint, performing and conducting his composition In Pursuit, with a large ensemble. 1 p.m., and again, free admission.
