Half Acre Cycling (co-sponsored by Gapers Block) is having a fundraiser at Black Rock Bar, 3614 N. Damen, today from 3:30pm to 7pm. There will be a raffle, good beer, a recap of the 2008 running of the Paris-Roubaix road race. Join in
The Chicago Gems will hold the final tryout for their all-women's baseball league today, 9-11 a.m. at the BASH Sports Academy, 2617 W. Fletcher. Following the tryouts, players will be drafted by one of four teams in the Gems league (Comets, Riveters, Skyline, Turtle Rocks). Registration fee is $25 and players are asked arrive by 8:45 a.m. and bring their own fielder's mitt, as well as batting gloves, helmets, etc. if possible. The season begins on June 1 and games will be held in Beford Park on Saturdays and Sundays. Contact The Chicago Gems for more info.

Innervation Dance Cooperative presents Everyman, a contemporary dance interpretation of the 15th-century morality play, sans religion, and all set to music by Led Zeppelin. Everyman begs her friends, family, Wealth, Beauty, Strength, and others to accompany her on her journey to Death.
