Short Film Brigade

The Chicago Short Film Brigade brings its program of short films back to the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, tonight at 7:30pm. $8, 21 and over.

Wizard World

Chicago Antique Market

Find cool stuff at the Chicago Antique Market, an indoor and outdoor European-style urban antique market, hosted at the Plumber's Union Hall at 1340 W. Washington St in the Randolph Street Market District. The event includes 150 dealers of "furnishings, housewares, artifacts, vintage clothing, jewelry, sterling, porcelain, lighting, ephemera, toys and collectibles galore," according to organizers. There's also a Vinyl Swap Meet, a Fancy Food Market and the Global Goods Bazaar. Today, the market is open 9am to 4pm. It costs $10 to get in, good for both days; student admission is half price with ID, and kids under 12 get in free. Plus: You can pre-pay online for only $8 (link is located at the bottom of the site's home page).

Superdawg Ride @ Waveland Clock Tower

The Chicago Cycling Club hosts a 40-mile roundtrip ride. But don't fret. At the end of the first leg is a stop at the historic Superdawg hot dog stand. Which might mean that the ride back might take a little longer. The ride begins at the Waveland Clock Tower, Waveland Ave. and Lake Shore Drive, at 8:30 a.m. Contact the CCC for details.

Pride Parade

The 39th annual Chicago Pride Parade runs up Halsted from Belmont to Waveland, down Broadway to Diversey, and then over to Cannon Drive starting at noon today. Free, as always.

Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention

The annual Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention features nightly flicks played at an outdoor inflatable drive-in theater, Q&A sessions with film stars and directors (including the 40th reunion of the cast of Night of the Living Dead and director George Romero), a bustling Dealers' Room where you can find memorabilia, and much more. Schadenfreude @ Theater on the Lake

In honor of its 10th anniversary, Schadenfreude is performing its original sketch comedy show from 1998 at Theater on the Lake, Fullerton & Lake Shore Drive in Lincoln Park, tonight at 6:30pm. The show runs June 25-29. Tickets are $17.50, call 312-742-PLAY for reservations.

Cubs vs. White Sox at U.S. Cellular

Crosstown Showdown, Part Deux. White Sox fans are looking for revenge in the form of a three-game sweep. Cubs fans are looking to rub more dirt in their faces. Should be a fun weekend. Game 3 gets the national television treatment and is tonight at 7:05 p.m. at U.S. Cellular, 333 W. 35th St.

Taste of Chicago

The Taste of Chicago runs thru 7/6, bringing its sea of gastronomic tidbits to Grant Park once again. This year, plan your route with an interactive map. Admission is free, but food and drink tickets are sold in strips of 12 for $8 at the festival. Get all the lowdown on the music, food, cooking demos, and family activities online.

Nancy Picks and Chooses Screening

A 20-minute narrative illustrating the struggles of a young woman searching for her identity through sexual exploits, misguided at times. This ain't no sick chick flick, but a lovely little tale that showcases not only awesome outfits, but historically rich Chicago scenery and a host of talented Chicago actors. Free. 7 p.m. 1072 N.
