This year's Outdoor Film Festival begins tonight with the classic All About Eve, starring Bette Davis and Anne Baxter. The movie will be shown for free in Grant Park, and will start tonight at sunset. The Outdoor Film Festival continues every Tuesday night through August 26; check the City of Chicago's Website for a complete schedule of films.
Dee Alexander, Chicago's resident jazz vocal diva, hits the Museum of Contemporary Art's Tuesday on the Terrace series tonight. Anyone who witnessed her breathtaking tribute to Nina Simone and Dinah Washington last summer in Millennium Park can attest to the fact that Dee's got it going on, in every sense of the phrase. Her powerful vocals have the unique ability to connect with every listener in the audience at once. What better way to spend a Tuesday happy hour in July than listening to her serenade the beautiful outdoor Terrace while sipping on some cocktails and enjoying the weather? Dee Alexander plays the MCA Terrace on Tuesday, July 15th from 5:30 - 7 PM, 220 E. Chicago, no cover.
