Three Floyds Brewer's Dinner

Head to Indiana's Three Floyds Pub for an awesome-sounding dinner (begins @ 6:30pm) paired with their brews. Here's a sampling:

Chicago Poetry Slam Grudge Match

Are you ready for a poetic rumble!?!? The 2008 Chicago Poetry Slam Grudge Match takes place tonight at the Funky Buddha Lounge, 728 W. Grand. Teams from The Green Mill & Mental Graffiti and The Chicago All-Stars will compete to see who's the best poetry slam crew. An open mic precedes the battle. Doors open at 7:30pm, $5 cover, 21+.

Open House and New Magazine @ Green Grocer

The friendly and local Green Grocer is hosting an open house to celebrate the new seasonal magazine Edible Chicago, while debuting local farmers, artisan food makers and chefs. Bring your friends to sample, watch demos, get recipes, and buy lots of tasty groceries. Judging from owner Cassie Green's charismatic personality, this is sure to be a love fest that you shouldn't miss. Monday, July 21 from 5 to 8 p.m., 1402 W. Grand Avenue.

The M Network @ Center on Halsted

Feast of Fools hosts the first-ever M Network event tonight from 6pm to 9pm on the roof of the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted, with comedian Adam Guerino and special guest performance artist Tim Miller. The M Network is "a men's social group at Center on Halsted where men and their admirers can meet in a safe, supportive atmosphere outside of the bars to build community, discuss life topics, and network." Admission is $20, which gets you food and one complementary drink.

Energy Plans @ Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

The Futurefarmers, an artist group based in San Francisco, is coming to Chicago for two days to develop a public art project about Energy Policy and they want you to join them in asking questions about the subject. The Futurefarmers are well known for their innovative design and arts education activities and have exhibited at the The Whitney Biennale and the Museum of Modern Art. Submit your ideas for continuum questions about energy or participate in person at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N Cannon Dr), on the front lawn near Fullerton and Cannon (just off Lake Shore Drive in Chicago's Lincoln Park). Events run today and tomorrow from 2PM to 5PM. Check out the the website for more information.
