Chicago Outdoor Film Festival: The Blues Brothers @ Grant Park
This year's Outdoor Film Festival continues tonight with possibly the ultimate Chicago movie: The Blues Brothers. The movie will be shown for free in Grant Park, and will start tonight at sunset. The Outdoor Film Festival continues every Tuesday night through August 26; check the City of Chicago's Website for a complete schedule of films.

Super Chef Ming Tsai will be making an appearace at the WTTW studios (5400 N. Saint Louis) tonight for a meet and greet and to sign his newest cookbook, Ming's Master Recipes. Event begins at 6:30pm. Bookslut reading @ Hopleaf
The Bookslut Reading Series returns after a long hiatus for another evening of author readings at Hopleaf (5148 N. Clark). Scheduled to read tonight: Eddie Campbell (The Amazing Remarkable Monsieur Leotard) and David J. Schwartz (Superpowers: A Novel). The reading starts tonight at 7:30, and is free and open to the public.
