Dill Pickle Food Co-op holds a benefit tonight at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western, featuring performances by Tirra Lirra, Allá and Willis P. Jenkins. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Additional donations accepted. Doors open at 8:30pm, 21 and over.
Chef Nancy Brussat of Wilmette's Convito Cafe and Market will be giving a cooking demo today at 10:30am at the Green City Market, located at Clark and Stockton Drive.

Celebchef Rick Bayless will be inducted into the Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame tonight at the Palmer House Hotel, 17 East Monrie, tonight from 5:30-9:30pm. Tickets are $175 (before event) or $200 (at the door) and include attendance to a cocktail reception, silent auction, awards presentation and a "Wandering Feast," which I'm sure is short for "passed hors d'oeuvres."
