Glasgow 3-piece The Fratellis have been described as the missing link between T. Rex and The Libertines. They released their debut EP through Nomadic Records on April 3rd, 2006, featuring the tracks "Creepin' Up The Backstairs", "The Gutterati?", and "Stacie Anne." Four months later, British music magazine NME ran a two page feature on The Fratellis, proclaiming them "The best new band in Britain." The success of their debut album, Costello Music, led to the band winning the BRIT award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 2007. Their latest offering, Here We Stand, was released this past June in the U.S.

The Green City Market is challenging you to eat only locally grown foods for two weeks (September 10-24). The Localvore Challenge means that your food has to be grown in Illinois or a bordering state, although you can establish an exceptions list of basic ingredients (olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar, coffee, etc.). Also, if you're itching to go out to eat, a bevy of restaurants such as Lula Cafe, 312 Chicago, Le Lan and Uncommon Ground will have a menu item each night that is Localvore Challenge-friendly.
