World Kitchen: End of the Season Garden @ Gallery 37

Tonight's class (6pm-8:30pm) will teach how you to make use of what vegetables are still in season at the local markets. "End of the Season Garden" is offered as part of the World Kitchen learning series offered by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and will be held at the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts, 66 E. Randolph Street. Admission is $30 and pre-registration is required. Please wear non-skid shoes and bring your apron!

Who knew Kentucky could bring forth underground hip-hop that does not suck? Deacon and Kno descend into Chicago still coming down off the relative success of their last album, Dirty Acres. Show is TEN BUCKS, so you have to go. Doors at 8, show at 9. Tickets over here.

Hubbard Street Dance @ Harris Theater

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago presents its Fall Program: Fold by Toru Shimazaki (world premiere), Minus 16 by Ohad Naharin (audience -- and this writer's -- favorite), and Extremely Close by Alejandro Cerrudo. You can't go wrong with this show. This is the one to bring your friend to -- you know, that friend who swears she hates to watch dance and needs to be pleasantly surprised!
