Tura! Tura! Tura! @ Tattoo Factory Gallery

If you didn't get enough of cult icon Tura Satana at last nights screening of Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! You are in luck, Tura! Tura! Tura! Opens tonight at the Tattoo Factory Gallery and Tura Satana will be there in person! This group art show organized by Chicago artist Mitch O'Connell, features artist such as Glenn Barr, Lisa Petrucci, Shag, Molly Crabapple and many more all celebrating the film icon. Profits from sales of posters and personal items donated by Tura herself will go to Apna Ghar, a domestic violence shelter and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The event stars at 7pm and runs to 11pm and is free. The art show continues through Jan. 26.

World Kitchen: Beyond Dinner @ Gallery 37

Tonight's class (6pm) is part of a four-part series to help you become a more confident chef. "Beyond Dinner" is offered as part of the World Kitchen learning series offered by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and will be held at the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts, 66 E. Randolph Street. Admission is $30 and preregistration is required. Please wear non-skid shoes and bring your apron!

Barry R. Bone's Burlesque Brothel

Head to The Darkroom, 2210 W. Chicago Ave., at 9pm for Barry R. Bone's Burlesque Brothel, a vaudevillian burlesque murder mystery featuring audio/visual performances from Chicago's most versatile burlesque performers: Red Hot Annie, Pearl Pistol, Salome Slaughter, Naughty Natanya, Chasity Chaos, and Lady Jack & Siren Jinx. Special appearance by Chicago Outfit Derby Girls. Pre-show entertainment will include 1920s vintage erotica as well as circus sideshow acts. Various goodies and swag bags will be distributed to all who attend. Post-show entertainment will include chocolate truffles from Coco Rouge, as well as a raffle sponsored by Chicago Avenue Salon, Pleasure Chest, G-Boutique, Platinum Partners, & Batteries Not Included. Rock band Whiskey Blonde will conclude the night with a set. Tickets are $10 in advance, $13 at the door. 21+

Dance for the Camera @ Chicago Cultural Center

In "Dance for the Camera" 2008 (scroll down once you get to that link), Hedwig Dances and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, in association with the Dance Films Association, present "innovative examples of dance films created by artists in the Midwest and around the world." This year's theme is "Landscapes and Interiors," focusing on the interaction between human activity and physical setting.

Sound Opinions presents Gimme Shelter @ Music Box

Sound Opinions presents a screening of the 1970 Rolling Stones documentary Gimme Shelter at the Music Box Theatre tonight at 7pm (doors open at 6:15). Last Day for Early Voting

Today (10/30) is the last day you can vote early for the 2008 elections. City of Chicago residents can vote in 1 location in their ward, or downtown (Details). Suburban Cook County residents can find their early voting location here. After today, you will only be able to vote on Nov. 4th at your designated polling place. Poe Discussion @ Sulzer Regional Library

No Halloween would be complete without a venture into Edgar Allan Poe's dark and ghastly tales. Atomic Sketch Event @ Evil Olive

BCD Collaborative hosts another Atomic Sketch Event tonight at Wicker Park's Evil Olive. The Halloween-themed evening of live art-making showcases established and emerging artists of various disciplines and offers finished works for sale at prices set by the artists. It's a great place to test your costume and cop original pieces at affordable prices. In addition to the panel, practicing artists and illustrators are welcome to drop-in with their own materials to sketch/paint on the sidelines and hang their work on the wall too. 6-9 p.m. 1551 W.
