Support emerging Chicago designers at Macy's New Designer Reception. The Chicago Fashion Incubator, a mentorship program providing six emerging designers with resources and work spaces, will bid farewell to its inaugural class tonight. The Japanese American Service Committee and Japan America Society of Chicago have teamed up to present a reading and book signing by David Mura, who will read and discuss his latest novel Famous Suicides of the Japanese Empire. The Chicago Ladylax Club, a new women's lacrosse organization, will hold an informational meeting for interested parties tonight, 7 p.m., at Duffy's Tavern, 420 W. Diversey. Andolino discusses the creation and use of the Sustainable Design Manual (SDM), which outlines environmentally friendly initiatives undertaken by the OMP. The SDM is an integral part of the overall design and construction for the OMP, and has become
a prototype for other airport design.
