Manifest Urban Arts Festival

Columbia College's Manifest Urban Arts Festival fills the day with fun activities today. Performance art is, er, performed in various places from 11am to 7pm. Art cars line up at 640 S. Wabash from 11am till 9pm, while an exhibition of auto-inspired art is on display in the parking lot at Wabash and 9th Street from 4 to 7pm. An artwalk runs from 4 to 7pm, student work showcases run throughout the day and the school's galleries are all open from 11am to 9pm. Mucca Pazza leads a march at noon, and the big Spectacle Fortuna Parade of Creativity kicks off at Harrison and Wabash at 6:45pm. Plus all sorts of music throughout the day and night. All free! Escape to Australia @ Fox & Obel

Australian chef Jon-Antony will be cooking in the way of Oz tonight at Fox and Obel, 401 E. Illinois, 7-9pm. Admission is $25 and covers wine, grub and talking about crocs. Registration required.

Kingdom @ Lava
