Facets Cinematheque presents Facets Night School, a series of great cult films screening Saturdays at midnight through June 27. Tonight's film is the counter-culture classic Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take One, with a discussion of the film hosted by Facets' Amy Boyd. Yes, that's right, Geek Prom is tonight! Hosted at the Co-Prosperity Sphere, 3219 S. Morgan St., Geek Prom features music, dancing, and "some sort of contest based on physical appearance, but we promise that it won't be excruciating or embarrassing!" Plus a show of DIY gadgets and hacks from hosts Pumping Station: One. Tickets are $15 for couples, $10 for singles.
There are three different Chicago-area events where you can whip out those sticks and get jiggy with the knitting while in public. Shocking, I know! Chicago Tap Theatre presents Little Dead Riding Hood, a "Fairy Tale Tap Dance Opera" that explores what happens when fairy tale characters discover themselves after tiring of acting out the same old stories. Vaudezilla brings Chicago another night of good old fashioned burlesque tonight at the Absolut Sexy Show at Exit (1315 W North Ave; 773-395-2700). The free event will feature two different shows at 11pm and 1am, a punk rock red carpet, and some of the best burlesque dancers the Windy City has to offer including Red Hot Annie, Donna Touch, and Maria May I. Check out one of the oldest juried art fairs in the country this weekend as the Old Town Art Fair celebrates 60 years. This year the fair will feature 260 exhibitors, entertainment, food, children's activities and a self-guided garden tour. Suggested donation is $7 -- children 12 and under are free. The fair is located at 1763 N. North Park and is open from 10am-6pm today and tomorrow.

UFC fighter, Clay "the Carpenter" Guida will be at Bennigan's on Michigan Avenue. Guida, who trains in Tinley Park, will show up at 9 pm to meet fans and promote his fight against Diego "the Nightmare" Sanchez at the Ultimate Fighter Season 9 finale.
The previous "Inside Out" audio and visual installation in the future home of the National Public Housing Museum, the former Jane Addams Homes, 1322-24 West Taylor Street, did so well, two more showings are scheduled. Set in the former residential units, interviews with public housing residents will be paired with photographs by Jack Bridges, John Brooks, Patricia Evans, Scott Fortino, Bridget Montgomery, Bob Natkin, Jason Reblando and David Schalliol. The Music Box Theatre brings back its weekend classic film matinees this month with a tribute to swashbuckler Errol Flynn, in honor of this 100th birthday. This weekend's film is Captain Blood, the 1935 film that made Flynn famous. The film screens today and Sunday at 11:30am.
