Lollapalooza @ Grant Park

Chicago's own Lollapalooza rocks Grant Park again for a fifth year. Tonight's headliners are The Killers and Lolla founder Perry Farrell's Jane's Addiction. The music festival runs from 11am to 10pm. Three-day and single-day passes are available on Lollapalooza's website.

Reverse Boycott at Fox & Obel

Carrotmob Chicago, a group of consumers who band together to spend money at socially responsible businesses, is putting its buying power behind Fox & Obel. The mob plans a "buycott" or reverse boycott from noon until 6pm: they're encouraging local consumers to visit Fox & Obel for their food needs, and the store, in return, will use part of the proceeds to continue to reduce its carbon footprint.
