The Neo-Futurists present "30 on Thursday", a remount of some classic plays from the archives of their 20-year-old show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. These classic plays are being presented as part of a fund-raising drive to help take their recent prime time show Beer to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. Shaw's Crab House (21 E. Hubbard St.) welcomes Owen Roe Winery proprietor David O'Reilly for a six-course wine dinner. Every year in the (mostly) hot summer months, teams of filmmakers band together to write, shoot, and edit a short 4 minute film for the Chicago Film Race. This year's completed projects, tallying to almost 30 shorts, are being screened at the Portage Theater starting at 8 pm on Thursday, August 20th.
