What Does it Say to You Student Show @ Spertus

Tonight, seven art students from Columbia College and SAIC present original artworks in response to Spertus Museum's current exhibition What Does It Say to You? These student artists have met weekly to discuss the roles that cultural identity, religious perspective, and formal training play in the way that they create and experience art. The pieces on display are their physical manifestations of those discussions. These works will be temporarily installed alongside the Spertus exhibition for a special reception tonight. Students will speak about their work and artistic process at 6:30pm. Admission is $7, $5 for seniors, and free for students with ID and Spertus members. Spertus is located at 610 S. Michigan Ave.
