The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a month-long retrospective of Jacques Tati's M. Hulot films. Tonight's film is Jour de Fete, the 1949 film that officially introduces Hulot. This winter, students of Kendall College's Monday Night Dining Symposium will be interpreting Latin American cuisine for a weekly set five-course banquet. Tonight's menu features Argentinian cuisine. The event takes place in The Dining Room at Kendall College (900 N. Branch St.), with seating starting at 6:30pm and dinner at 7pm. The $38 fee per person covers food, non-alcoholic beverages, and tax, but not gratuity. BYOB with no corkage fee is also available. In this panel discussion, dance artists learn about the range of spaces available for presenting new dance work in Chicago. Presenting organizations discuss their missions in featuring dance to local audiences in addition to opportunities or services they offer for developing local artists. From new community collectives to experimental spaces to established presenting venues, this panel will offer the scoop on ways to build a profile as a dance artist in Chicago.
